- O you who wraps himself!
- Stand up and warn,
- And your Lord magnify,
- And your garments purify,
- And avoid filth.
3. “Magnify” means hyperliterally to “make great through worship.”
This section of Surah 74 was revealed so early that some of Muhammad’s companions thought it was the first surah revealed. However, the consensus was that it was not first. I propose that, because of the ahadiths about it, it was probably second.
